Recording at Glasshouse Studios

Saturday 2nd March 2024

We had such an amazing day recording five songs with Glasshouse Studios nr Oxford. Our first time in the studio and what a day! We are very much looking forward to sharing with you the tracks. Thank you to Jamie and especially Matty our brilliant sound engineer.

Cowley Festival of Christmas Trees 2023

Saturday 16th December

It was our delight to join the community of St James' Church, Cowley for another year of the Cowley Festival of Christmas Trees. Lots of fun was had as we celebrated the Christmas season with some jazzy carols. Thank you to all for your warm welcome and especially joining in with the egg shakers! Merry Christmas!

St Mary's, Easton
nr Winchester

Friday 29th September

Thank you to the church community of St Mary's Easton for inviting us to play at their harvest supper. What an amazing time of food, fellowship and lots of fun playing gospel jazz. We even had a couple of dancers at one point! Such a celebration of all the good things God has given and continues to give to his church. Grace Church Cowley

Saturday 23rd September

We had a joy filled time joining the church community of Grace Church Cowley for their fun day. It was an event full of tea, cake and music from a local brass band plus us sharing some joy through jazz. Thanks to all for inviting us and your incredibly warm welcome!

Ready for an adventure?

Friday 14th July

It was our pleasure to join the party as Adventure Plus, an adventure centre in Clanfield, West Oxfordshire, held a fundraiser for their ongoing work of developing a site to inspire generations of children and young people to reach their potential. What an amazing story and vision!

Christian Aid Brunch -
St James Church, Cowley
Saturday 20th May

The Gospel Jazz Project enjoyed a time of brunch and jazz in support of Christian Aid week. Together with St James Church in Cowley, Oxford, a joyful time was had by all.

Cowley Festival of Christmas Trees
Saturday 17th December

What a joy it was to join people from the local community of Cowley for an afternoon of gospel jazz carols. The church was beautifully decorated with Christmas trees, each sharing a unique message of hope and peace. Thank you to St James Church for their warm welcome. We wish you all a very blessed Christmas time! 

Gospel Jazz @ The White House

On Thursday 18th August, we joined the wonderful people at the White House (Tap Social) on the Abingdon Road, Oxford, for an evening of gospel jazz. Playing in the pub garden, we were joined by many for a fun evening. Thank you to all who supported us and to the White House for giving us the opportunity to play. Playing at the Vaults Cafe outside the University Church, Oxford.

It was our pleasure to be invited to join in a local community event at the Vaults Cafe on Sunday 17th July. We are so thankful for the opportunity to share the joy of the gospel through the joy of jazz. It was especially encouraging to be able to involve others and get to know people involved in supporting local community projects in Oxford. Thank you all for your welcome! God bless.

An evening of gospel jazz

On Saturday 9th July, we were delighted to join St Ebbe's Headington for an evening of gospel jazz and the story it tells. It was pleasure to join and meet so many people and to share the joy of the gospel through the joy of jazz. Jubilee Street Party -

4th June 2022

Chester St, Oxford

What a way to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee! We were delighted to join the residents of Chester Street, Oxford for an afternoon of jazz! It was a pleasure to share the joy of the gospel through the joy of jazz. As well as our own set, we were joined by members of the local community which made for an even more joyous occasion. Thank you for the invitation to join in with this event!

Outside Gospel Jazz @
St Michael's Gidea Park (9th April 2022)

We were delighted to join St Michael's Gidea Park, Romford for some outside gospel jazz. Picnics and jazz, what a combination! Thank you for making us feel so welcome! Every blessing as we enter the Easter season. GJP

Jazz Chapel at Regent's Park College

On Friday 11th March, the GJP joined students and staff from Regent's Park College, Oxford for a special jazz chapel service. There was a real buzz of excitement as we shared in the joy of the Christian message through the joy of jazz.

Wycliffe Hall Event

Student event at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford

On Thursday 11th November, The GJP had the pleasure of joining a group from Wycliffe Hall Theological College in Oxford for an evening of jazz. It was a fun time with the added joy of welcoming one student to the stage to join the band in singing a couple of songs. We hope it lifted the spirits of those present and served as a way of remembering the hope we have in the good news of Jesus Christ.
